Buddy D Parade

Sportscaster Buddy D. always said that if the Saints went to the Super Bowl, he’d put on a dress. Unfortunately, Buddy died in 2005 and never got to see his team make it to the Big Show. In honor of Buddy and the team, former Saints Quarterback and WWL sportscaster Bobby Hebert and other Saints Network dignitaries (in dresses) second lined from the Superdome into the French Quarter on Sunday, January 31st. Accompanied by a brass band, the River Parish Disposal Tailgator carrying the Supa Fans (Abdul, Supa Saint, Mack the Quack, Fleur-D-Licious and more), Buddy’s Broads (men in dresses), 610 Stompers and women in jerseys and Saints shirts. 85,000 people showed up to honor Buddy-D!

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Making Strides unites people of all ages with a common goal to fight breast cancer and save lives. More than a walk, the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer was an opportunity to honor breast cancer survivors, remember people we have lost, and raise funds and awareness to help end this disease. We donated portable toilets, trash boxes and water for the 2009 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event which helped raise over $202,000 to help fight Breast Cancer.
