10th Annual Hogs For The Cause

The 10th Annual Hogs For The Cause is held at The Grounds Outside the UNO Lakefront Arena on March 23-24, 2018 and features 21 Bands, 3 Stages, 85 BBQ Teams all for One Cause – Pediatric Brain Cancer Outreach Services.

The Bands include: N.M.O., Turnpike Troubdours, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, The Steeldrivers, Tyler Childers, Son Little, Spafford, Banners, The Band of Heathens, Mipso, Samantha Fish, Sweet Spirit, Blackfoot Gypsies, Iko Allstars, The Artisanals, Cordovas, Maggie Koerner, Stoop Kids, Jonathan Boogie Long, Hot 8 Brass Band, Khris Royal and Dark Matter, and more.

Friday Night is BACON Night at Hogs. All teams will be serving various, creative Nueske’s Bacon dishes to the public. Menus to be published in March. BBQ will be served as well by many teams as well. 9 Bands on 3 Stages. Saturday is BBQ today. All teams serving BBQ to the public. 12 Bands on 3 Stages.

The Hogs for The Cause will happen rain or shine.

Hogs for the Cause is the premier funding source for pediatric brain cancer outreach services in the U.S. We have given 600 grants over 10 years. They are partnered with several hospitals to reach these families, including Children’s Hospital of New Orleans, Ochsner Hospital for Children, Duke Children’s Hospital, Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Children’s Hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite, and Children’s Hospital of San Antonio.

River Parish Disposal

River Parish Disposal is a Full-Service Waste Disposal service provider for the Greater New Orleans area. We will provide dumpsters, portable toilets, hand-washing stations, disposable boxes, restroom trailers, and clean up crews for the Hogs for the Cause event. We are so proud to be a part of such a great event in the New Orleans community.
