The Race:

Come on out on March 11, 2018, at 10am for the St. Patricks’ Day Classic. This is a run down Metairie Road before the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. The race begins outside of Gennaro’s bar on Metairie Road at North Causeway. The 2-mile course will proceed down the parade route down Metairie Road and finishes at Frisco, just before the train tracks and Winston’s Pub & Patio. The post race party will take place at Winston’s.

All participants will receive a bib number (with a timing chip), a commemorative race T-Shirt and a St. Patty’s Day drink specials at the local Metairie Road bars all day long. This race is also your ONLY chance to qualify for the 2018 Crescent City Classic 10k at the 2-mile distance.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade:

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade of Metairie was founded in 1971. The parade rolls on March 11, 2018, at 12pm starting at 1901 Severn Avenue.  The parade consists of over 100 floats and trucks, bands, marching clubs, and all of the carrots, potatoes, cabbages and beads that you can catch. Every parade goer will be lucky at this parade. So, come celebrate the Irish and enjoy this FREE parade with your friends and family.

River Parish Disposal:

The St. Patrick’s Day Classic is a great event that the River Parish Disposal team enjoys working with every year. This year we are supplying portable toilets, cardboard disposable boxes, dumpsters and cleanup crews. We will see you at the finish line!
