Are you ready to run for the Children’s Hospital’s Cancer Program?

The purpose of the Children’s Hospital Jazz Half Marathon is the raise funds for the Children’s Hospital’s Cancer Program, promote your health and fitness, while having a great time. The Jazz Half Marathon benefits the LaNasa-Greco Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, which treats more than 1,100 children each year. Children’s Hospital treats more Louisiana kids with cancer than all other facilities combined. For more information about Children’s Hospital’s Cancer Program, please click HERE.

The Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile race running from Lafayette Square in downtown New Orleans to Audubon Park uptown and back. The 5K is a 3.2 mile race run in the downtown area. The post race party venue is the beautiful and historic Lafayette Square.

Saturday, October 28, 2017. The Half Marathon and the 5K will start at 7:00 a.m.
Runners will start in waves:
7:00 a.m.: Competitive Runners ( pace per mile at 8:00 minutes or under)
7:02 a.m.: Fitness Runners ( pace per mile at 12:00 per mile or under)
7:05 a.m.: Casual Runners, ALL Walkers (pace slower than 12 minutes per mile)

Both the Half Marathon course and the 5K course are walker-friendly. All Half Marathon registrants will receive a technical shirt and a finishers’ medallion. 5K participants will receive a commemorative cotton t-shirt.The post-race activities, including refreshments and live music by local musicians, will start at 8:30 a.m. and continue until noon. River Parish Disposal will be providing portable toilets and dumpsters for the Children’s Hospital Jazz Half Marathon. We hope to see a great turn out for this great cause.
