Happy 3rd of July
What are you doing on the 3rd of July? If you do not have plans yet, consider heading out to the City Park Goldring/Woldenberg Great Lawn for a FREE event that includes music and fireworks.
Come hear the Marine Cores Band New Orleans
Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy patriotic music with The Marine Corps Band New Orleans on the Goldring/Woldenberg Great Lawn. For the first 4000 people, City Park will provide Happy 3rd of July Fans. In addition, starting at 5pm the park will offer concessions for sale. Some of the picnic concession favorites include hotdogs, corn dogs, ice cream, snow balls and waffle fries and also beer, wine, Vodka Lemonade, and Vodka Sneauxballs. You can also bring your own picnic too.
While there is no bad spot to hear the band, arrive early to get a spot on the Goldring/Woldenberg Great Lawn. The band will play from the Peristyle side of the lawn and face Victory. City Park will begin selling concessions at 5pm, music begins around 7, and fireworks from the Peristyle will be at 9pm.
While people can bring their dogs if they remain on a leash, we advise to leave them at home – the fireworks are very loud and each year dogs get frightened and run from their owners.
Don’t forget to wear your red, white, and blue! This event is free and open to the public.
Schedule:
7:15pm to 9pm: Marine Introductions and The Marine Corps Band New Orleans
9pm: Fireworks from the Peristyle
