Why is a River Parish Disposal Truck carrying 1000s of rubber ducks?
WHEN?: Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 4 p.m.
WHERE?: Big Lake in New Orleans City Park.
WHY?: All proceeds support Second Harvest Food Bank and our mission to fight hunger across South Louisiana!
It means that the Second Harvest Food Bank Rubber Duck Derby is coming to town.
On Saturday, June 2, 2018, come on out the the Big Lake in New Orleans City Park at 4pm for the Second Harvest Food Bank Rubber Duck Derby. Adopt a duck and get your duck in the race and possibly when a great prize all to provide meals for people who need them across South Louisiana.
Did you know that $1 can actually provide 3 meals?
For every $1 raised, Second Harvest Food Bank can provide 3 meals to those in need across South Louisiana. The Rubber Duck Derby invites anyone and everyone to adopt a rubber duck. One (1) duck can be adopted for $5, but if you adopt 20 ducks for $100, you get 5 additional ducks for the same price. Click Here For Details.
A number will be attached to each duck relating to the number on the official duck adoption entry form. Multiple duck entries on one adoption form will be assigned a separate duck number for identification. The person whose name appears on the Entry form that matches a winning duck will be awarded the corresponding prize in order of finish.

For 1st Place, the grand prize is $5000 Cash and 2nd Place gets you 2 round-trip flights on Southwest Airlines. But don’w worry there is a $500 Zuppardo’s gift certificate, Ritz Carlton Hotel stay, Baby Cakes Game Suite, and Yet Prizes from Massey’s. River Parish Disposal
No matter if you have a rubber duck in the race or if you are just want to come out and support Second Harvest Food Bank, come on out and cheer on the teams. The River Parish Disposal Team loves this event and is proud to support it. Our trucks are ready to deliver the 20,000 rubber ducks to the City Park Big Lake to get this race started for a great cause. We will be supplying a roll off truck as well as a 30 yard dumpster and will be dumping all of the rubber ducks in the lake. See your duck at the finish line.
